They can't really change directions, though. You can outrun them by zigzagging.
I tell you this in case you ever visit New York.

One time when I was drunk in England I was walking down a country road in the middle of the night with my professor, who was also drunk. It was fun but sort of spooky, so I said, "I wonder if there are any wild animals out here."
"Probably," he said.
"Think it's dangerous?"
"Dangerous?"
"Yeah, like... Hell, I don't know. Wolves or bears or something."
He thought for a while and said, "This is an island that has been highly populated and farmed for many centuries. There is not really any wild animal here that is much bigger than a pretty large dog."
And that was hilarious.
We did find some glow worms though, and that was cool.

Alien Big Cats are real...

I Think the last wild wolf in Britain was killed off in the late 1700s. Bears probably got wiped out around the same time.
And, as Mr Fry once informed me (he was looking right at me, dammit!), rabbits weren't a wild animal in Britain until around the 1800s. They were farmed in enclosures before that.
I love you Mr Fry.

Yeah, that'll be true for about another....three minutes.

Aight, link expired. This one isn't as authoritative, but you get the picture.
You are committed to getting the truth out, and I admire you for that.

What will you do when the metal ones come for you?
lizjones » neu2 years ago
And when they grab you with those metal claws, you can't break free... because they're made of metal, and robots are strong.

Reminds me of a late '90's SNL parody commercial for Robot Insurance...
the_doz » neu1 years ago
That makes sense, since it's the dialogue from that very commercial.

Man is Liebot gonna laugh when Chucklebot tells him about this one. Rough chuckles for Phillipe though. Rough chuckles indeed.

Billy and Phillipe's bond in this strip makes me feel all fuzzy. Listen to how concerned that daft old coot is.
foxtrotamend » neu2 years ago
The first two panels could be their own strip. They rock that much

On second viewing, this is a 5 not a 4.

People rate things lower than 5? I just 5 my faves and skip the rest.
hateandwar » neu1 years ago
Me too. Passing judgment on every single one just feels mean. A particular strip might not be my thing, but they're all beautiful.

Everyone has an alligator-themed nightmare at least one in their lives. In mind, I was lying on the floor in a room full of gators, and some of them were lying on top of me.

This strip made me chuckle (fittingly, I suppose), but the alt-text made me laugh out loud. Equal parts hilarious and terrible.
