If there is any connection, it is without a doubt Joe Mathlete ripping this off. Marmaduke Explained is pretty damn funny, but seriously, the guy's bread and butter is finding things that other people have already done (good and bad) and just throwing his Hateful Nerd Spin on it.

Incidentally, my dentist D2BaF (decided to become a farmer), which freaked me out a little bit. Serious - seven years of dentist school, then he practised for a year or two, which included pulling a nerve out of my wisdom tooth (it was the worst thing in the world), then went to be a farmer in Ireland.
