this strip does a nice job displaying a wide range of Ray's emotions

This strip does a nice job of displaying how big ray's head is
dueledge » neu 2 years ago
when I read that second comment I almost sprayed tea everywhere. Not that its super funny but it just sorta surprised me.
snowman » neu 2 years ago
same
tekende » neu 2 years ago
It did the same to me except replace "tea" with "snot."
saddestking » neu 1 years ago
The last time I made that replacement I got fired from Applebee's pretty hard
mattylite » neu 1 years ago
So you're the one...
greenkoolayd » neu 5 months ago
his big head is where he keeps his wide range of emotions.

Téodor's assessment of the Chinese economy is brilliant.
zem » pro 2 years ago
That, plus the phrase "mainly eat normal stuff like burgers or cake" gets this one a five
blarghamagarky » neu 2 years ago
apparently cakes and burgers are the staple of cuisine normality in achewood

The link doesn't work! The date is invalid! I want, no, need, closure!

Rays just telling it how it is

This strip gets a four from me just for the alt text !
crinklebat » neu 2 years ago
I think it's cool how Ray can just totally turn around and admit the error of his ways.

do snakes even have cheeks?
tbtabby » neu 2 years ago
Exactly what I was wondering. We should look into it. TO THE INTERNET! *SWOOSH*
tbtabby » neu 2 years ago
*SWOOSH*

I'm back. Yes, venomous snakes do have cheeks, in which their venom sacs are stored.
ketelcat » neu 1 years ago
I am indescribably proud of you for checking. I bet 99% of people would have just swooshed off and expected chubbies. Nice work.

I think I see a problem with the Chinese village's business model.

4. Profit!

Teodor seems to be of the impression that the entire Chinese economy is based inside the Chun-Li stage from Street Fighter II.
blarghamagarky » neu 2 years ago
I liked Chun-Li way too much to be a pre-adolescent girl
professorhazard » pro 2 years ago
I liked her just the right amount to be a progressively-pubescent boy.
soticoto » neu 2 years ago
Chun-Li is the reason why all male geeks are afraid of girls.
She had priority.

I mean she could kick Blanka even when he was doing his electric thing. She could kick Ken out of a Shoryuken... or Bison out of a Psycho-Crusher.

Chun-Li could stand on the train-tracks, face off the oncoming bullet-train and Hyakuretsukyaku the whole thing into scrap metal.

HK HK HK to victory.
blarghamagarky » neu 2 years ago
man.
nigelchaos » pro 2 years ago
Chun-Li goes hard. I was always best (read: SUPER cheap) with Dhaslim though.
soticoto » neu 2 years ago
You better watch out if she jumps in over your Yoga Fire though. Chun-Li at point-blank range is too much kick for your Yoga Flame to handle.
zeal » neu 2 years ago
Ain't no Chun Li ever break through my corona of electrical death as blanca.

(Also, if anyone in Charleston, SC wants to play straight-up classic arcade Street Fighter 2 there's a machine in the Ye Olde Fashioned on the way to Folly Beach. We can do this.)
soticoto » neu 2 years ago
See a few posts up.

[Translation : Yes... if done properly, Chun Li CAN kick through Blanca's electric field... as irrational as that might seem. And even if she doesn't, she can Kikouken through it, for she is a girl of many talents.]

I love you for posting this on Achewood. If you ever come out the Bay Area, I'll battle you -- Champion Edition or III or Alpha 3... bring it on!

Anyone else notice Ray went right back to being overweight after his walk back from Mexico?
falseprophet » pro 2 years ago
He probably didn't say anything because he knew it would upset Teodor.
soticoto » neu 2 years ago
He got his pig-bun then and lasagne turkey then.

Ray Smuckles gets things done.
soticoto » neu 2 years ago
Most Chinese guys of average strength?

If the Great Outdoor Fight had been set in China, Ray would have been out in the first five minutes with Ching Chong Wing Wong carved all over his chest, neat as you please.
selbencoirlo » neu 10 months ago
Man soticoto, Jackie Chan is pretty big for a Chinese guy and I ain't never seen him rip no one's face off. Now we can maybe chalk that up to a good even temperament on Jackie's part, but even so I think it argues for Ray's supremacy in the world of fuck-you-up-antics.

I always suspected that Ray was black. I think this is strong evidence here where he refers to his black brothers. It helps me adjust my mental image.
fineoakstructure » neu 1 years ago
If not, then Chris Onstad is being irresponsible with his only black character: Nightlife. Nightlife is basically defined by two things:

1)he smokes pot
2)he injures people

Do you think that it is rad to have racism, Chris?

Holy shit I'm talking about subtextual racism on a webcomic about cats who the fuck do I think I am?!

You, sir, deserve multiple chubbiage.
