At my request a t-shirt with this strip on it was made available, and I bought it. Many of those who saw it in the weeks that followed are now proud to have gotten in on the ground floor.

Notice the gradient on Mr. Bear's hat in the last panel.

This is the same Lyle that later booked Pat with Nice Pete. Look it up.

I really like this strip; my initial response is to wish it had come later. To make a parody of a strip so soon after its conception and before it is fully developed could appear pretentious. However, this strip serves to develop Cornelius Bear's character.
envika » neu9 months ago
I can't imagine Lyle acting that way in 2002.
son_of_selleck » neu8 months ago
ah, so this is where cornelius got his distinctive character from.

Unabashedly fived for "Oh! That is truly the limit."
We all have phrases we have co-opted from Achewood into our personal lexicons. For me, this is one of them.
